The Sisters of the Most Precious Blood of O’Fallon create meaningful liturgical fabric art for use in divine worship in our Ecclesiastical Art Department (EAD).
In a spirit of hospitality, our EAD workshop is open to visitors, in particular members of churches and needlework groups, who would like the opportunity to see our work in process, as well as tour our chapel and heritage area.
What makes our work distinctive is the particular style of embroidered liturgical symbols which decorate the article. This embroidery is done by machine using a combination of hand-guided zigzag and chain stitching techniques. Each design is then couched with gold cord to accentuate the design.
Our specialty articles include: stoles, chasubles, dalmatics, mitres, altar linens and funeral palls. We take a limited number of custom orders, as well as make items that are available online and in our gift shop.
The EAD no longer makes Custom-fitted Albs. However, our Sisters have trained Lucrecia DaSilva of St. Louis, MO to make the albs. Lucrecia can be contacted at 314-621-1332 during the day and at 314-773-6272 during evenings and weekends.
